The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Region formed a committee to implement the terms of the agreement with the Jordanian side for higher studies and exchange of experiences and staffs. Dr. Yousef Goran, the Minister of Higher Education scientific research, request for formation a committee with the Jordanian side to fulfilment and implement the terms of the agreement that signed between the two sides last year. The agreement related to the postgraduate studies in Jordanian and Kurdish universities, as well as for the development of academic and scientific relations between both sides. An extended meeting held between the Dr. Yousef Goran, the Minister of Higher Education scientific research and the Jordanian General Counsel in the Kurdistan Region. In the presence of Dr. Idris Hadi, former Minister of Education, Amang Said, Advisor to the Minister of Education and Dr. Joan Jalal, Director of the Department of Missions and Cultural Relations. At the meeting, they discussed the nature of the bilateral relations between the two sides and the development of scientific and academic fields. Dr. Yousef Goran instructed the formation of a joint council to establish mechanisms for the implementation of the terms of the agreement between the two sides since last year. As well as the general political situation of the academic and scientific relationship between them, and this agreement also provides for the exchange of staff and sending students from both sides to complete postgraduate studies.
